Bluetooth or Wi-Fi — no internet needed.
Have your friend scan this code — or open the link — on their phone. You both need an internet connection for now (offline Bluetooth play is coming later).
Version …
Tactico is a two-player strategy board game in which each
side commands an army of ranked pieces with hidden
identities and tries to capture the opponent's
F piece.
Goal. Capture your opponent's F
— or leave them with no legal move. Each side
secretly deploys 40 pieces on their four back rows of a
10×10 board. On your turn move one piece one square
orthogonally (2 may slide any number of empty
squares in a straight line). Pieces may not enter the two
brick areas in the middle.
F, B, 1,
2, 3, 4–9
(ascending ranks), 10 (highest).
When you move onto a square occupied by an opponent piece:
1 vs 10: when
1 attacks 10,
1 wins. In every other matchup
1 loses.
B: only
3 defuses it and takes the square; any
other attacker is removed and B stays.
F: any attacker
captures it — the game ends immediately.
F and B cannot move.
Your opponent is an AI agent driven by a deep neural network trained with a combination of imitation learning (from human/expert games) and reinforcement learning (from self-play).
Vs. AI — play against the neural-network agent described above. This mode talks to the Tactico server, so it requires an internet connection.
Vs. Friend — play head-to-head against another person, each on their own device. The two devices connect directly over Bluetooth or Wi‑Fi and need no internet at all. You can even play in the air: switch on Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth after take‑off and connect to a friend sitting nearby — no in‑flight internet required.
Only auto-deploy is supported in this version — manual piece-by-piece deployment, save/load setup, and replay save/load will be added on demand.
